THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOUR AUTO GLASS PROVIDER
When choosing an auto glass company, it's not always about price. There are a couple of things you need to know about your windshield before you choose a company to replace it. Ask the company these questions:
Q: Do you use o.e. (original equipment) or o.e.-equivalent glass?
A: We use OEE (original equipment equivalent) parts.
Q: Do all the materials you use meet or exceed ANSI Z 26.1 and all pertinent Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards?
A: Our parts come from Pilkington and PGW, which are the two best in quality compared to O.E.M. parts. The parts we use exceed ANSI Z 26.1, unlike the big national brands that buy the cheapest glass possible to install in your car.
Q: Does your adhesive manufacturer certify you, and who is the manufacturer of the adhesive?
A: Our technicians are DOW automotive certified, which is a certification to use the proper urethane to install a windshield. We also use DOW Automotive Urethane which is the same urethane used by the auto manufacturers.
Q: What type of warranty can I expect?
A: Paustian’s Auto Glass backs our work with a lifetime warranty for both chip repairs and replacements.
Q: How soon after my glass is replaced will I be able to use my vehicle?
A: Once your new windshield is set into place you vehicle needs to sit for an hour before it is safe to drive.
By asking these questions you will have a better understanding of what type of company you are about to deal with.
We warrant our work against workmanship, leaks, and manufacturer defects in the glass. If we can’t fix it the first time then the second time we come out we are going to start from scratch with a new piece of glass.
Chip Repair Warranty
We warrant all chip repairs against further spreading or dislike of the repair. If the repair spreads after it is completed or if the repair is not completed to your satisfaction, we will credit the amount paid for the repair towards the replacement of a new windshield.
